Where to buy desktop online?

I am in the market for a new desktop for my office since this Dell 9100 is almost 3 years old. About the only place I have ever purchased from is Dell. I have probably purchased a dozen or better from Dell, always been satisfied and never any issues. BUT... not buying a desktop in almost 3 years I am not up to par on the best places to buy online. Budget will be around $1500 or so. XP Pro and Raid 1 with a couple of 80-120GB hard drives. No games played here, but still looking for speed. I have a 19" widescreen that I just got recently.

I would rather configure my own and will probably compare with the Dell's available.

Any recommendations on where to start looking?

Thanks!

Aside from Dell, HP and Gateway are some of the better-quality systems out there. From your Post, I'm assuming you want a pre-built system and not buying individual parts to make your own, correct?

You can also find complete systems on both http://www.tigerdirect.com and http://www.newegg.com. Those two sites are also the two most common to order individual parts from to build your own, if you're exploring that option as well.

Yeah... pre-built, but configurable.

I have a couple at home I have built, but this is for my office and I really do not have the time nor the will to be building one right now. I would much rather look around and see what kind of deal I can configure up.

Depends how educated you are. I had a email asking if a E8400 was all he needed for a computer to work. Needless to say... I told him to go for prebuilt
