I am actually in the process of trying to get my order shipped from Newegg. There card verification has got to be one of the worst in the world, but I have had good luck with them. They told me today that they always call the cardholder's bank for anything over $200. So, expect a slight delay due to that. I put my order in on 12/7, and they just verified it literally an hour ago. My status is now at 3, but they are saying it will ship in 1-2 business days. I called to change the shipping to a faster method (I originally chose ground), but they told me they have already "generated a label" for it, so I couldn't change it. I found this a little weird. I'm guessing they will not get it out UPS until Monday or Tuesday. Via ground, I don't expect to get the order before Friday of next week, so I guess I will get it the following week. If I get it on 12/19, that would be a fair estimate.
However, that means I would get my order on 12/19 when I placed it on 12/7. I know the shipping is only an estimate, but their site said ground takes 1-5 days. Either way, they had cheap prices. I just hope the laptop works because I've heard they absolutely will not bend to take it back if there is anything wrong with it. I also heard from reading forums that they sensor the review people put on their products. I have no way of knowing that is true, but I have noticed people rating products very high that they say are major problems. Oh well, I have no way of knowing that. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed because the item was very cheap.
