Where can I get the Driver for HP Pavilion M90 monitor?
Even though I found a driver I always get the message that I need to insert the CD since it needs file HPD04870.ICM?

Any help much appreciated!

The only good thing could be the color profile. But I didn't saw yet a decent color calibration that came with a monitor driver...
So mine is "generic monitor" too... :)

Correct me if im wrong but monitors dont come with color profiles built in do they? Thats a 3rd party deal

The ICM (Image Color Matching) file contains a color system profile. But if you want a real calibration then look for some good 3rd party program.

Yeah ok i figured about the 3rd party apps cuz no serious color profilling is done via base drivers

Thanks for the advice Lorand. It still didn't work so I tried another monitor (Philips) and it's the same thing! Can't get more than 16bit 640x480. Tried downloading the Philips driver too, (both monitors display can be adjusted when using other computers)

Again, I'm not too computer savvy but its an Optiplex GX110, I upgraded the bios to 09 if that matters. 98SE.

Try changing the color depth and resolution at Display Properties / Settings / Advanced / Adapter / List all modes.

Thanks again Lorand. The problem is my monitor does not appear on the list.
I have also tried going through a video card to the monitor, but I also can't find a driver for that so it defaults to the 640x480 16 color setting.

I have some other video cards, I will try that.
