Where to get motherboards

Have not purchased a motherboard. Its for a Toshiba laptop. Any input on where to buy motherboards from? I see places out there but thought I would ask here to get a reputable place.
 
Most likely it won't be considering the OS would have to change..

I'd recommend getting something that'll work for your needs until you find an adaquate replacement..
 
Your right. The thing is I'm working on someone else laptop. They want to know how much it would be to replace the mother board. I need to give them a price so they will know what the MOBO cost is. Once I tell them, they will know its best to replace the laptop. I was wanting to find a reputable source for MOBOs for the future as well. When I searched online I found the MOBO but the prices varied dramatically, which is why I needed a legit source. I have never had to look for or purchased a MOBO.
 
Is the laptop only a few years old is it older? If its older than a few years just recommend getting a new laptop.
 
Not sure. It came with Windows 7. If I could find a legit source then I would fell better in telling them how much a mobo cost which would confirm that they need to just get a new one. When I searched places the prices were from less than 100 dollars up to almost 400 dollars. That is why I'm trying to find a good source.
