Where's the Difference?????

so i just added an extra 1 gig of ram. 2 gig total. first of all it was a pain in the butt to install it. my ram slots where so hard to get to and there were so many wires in my way. i took me almost and hour to get 2 sticks in. but i did it. any way where am i supposed to see a jump in performance.????

there's no jump in performance unless you were maxing out the ram you already had

i've personally never once had a problem with 1 gig of ram.

my processor gives me problems long before i run out of physical memory.

You wont see a difference going from 1GB to 2GB if you just use your computer for every day tasks like e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, internet, etc.

who told you to upgrade?

was it the same person who sold you the memory, by any chance?

there's a jump in performance by increasing the fastest speed memory your mobo can handle, but not increasing the amount

no one told me to upgrade....i got a good deal that i couldnt pass up.....42.50 for a gig of brand new kingston...why not

Thats a pretty good deal, but what do you us the computer for? Just general tasks like internet and such?

yea i just use it for basic stuff but i hate waiting for things to load or folders to open and things like that
