Which 19" LCD Monitor For My Application

I do standard office spreadsheets, Email, Surf the Web and do some hobby Web Design.

Also my wife is getting into Digital photo's lately.

I do not do any gaming or do I play many DVD's on my computer.

I was looking at the new Sony at a local Staples with the X-Brite screens and I really liked it! But I see for almost half the price I could get a Dell 19" and the review from PC world on the Dell was very impressive.

I worry about ghosting as I scroll through websites quickly and I heard that this could be a problem with the Dell.

Thanks

I dont know too much about the two products your mentioning. I do know Sony and Viewsonic are usualy pretty nice. The main things I look for in monitors are the refresh rate, 16 ms is fairly good, and aspect ratio. Check newegg.com and tigerdirect.com for some good prices. Oh, and cnet.com has a bunch of reviews.

I bought a 17'' Sony and I love it!!!!! I dont have any dead pixles and it has a really nice color. It was 259.00 at chiefvalue.com. Shop there , I found that they have the lowest prices. They are a sister site to newegg.com and they have the same products but lower prices. Go with the SONY. It has a nice 3 year warranty too.

He could probably get away with even a 20ms monitor, since you dont need an extremely fast refresh if u dont want movies or play games. THey have some on newegg that are around $300, and i heard they were nice. I think monitors at stores are way overpriced. How much is the one your looking at buying?
