Which anti spyware?

I've had a few virus problems recently. I've solved them now and with the help of people on this forum I've managed to learn a few tricks to keep things in good shape.

I now have Malwarebytes, but I was wondering if anyone could suggest good antivirus, antimalware/spyware programs I could use.

For the past 8 years I've been using AVG Free and Zone Alarm Free versions to protect my computer. I used these on the recommendation of a friend and haven't bothered changing them because the programs have become familiar.

Any thoughts?

I would probably run either AVAST or Microsoft Security Essentials now instead of AVG. Definately use Malwarebytes/Superantispyware a few times a week.

I recommend changing from AVG (apparenly now resourse heavy) to Avira, and from ZA (also now heavy unless you have an old version) to Online Armor. The latter also blocks any exe file that tries to run.

Maybe also use Spyware Terminator with live protection. Scan with the others as the member above said.

I was using AVG and ZoneAlarm but I found they eventually conflicted. AVG in particular seemed to get bloated with rules over time. I'm now using Avast and Comodo Firewall+Defense. I find Comodo a bit complicated after using ZoneAlarm, although it is very flexible. I keep a few anti-malware progs in addition that I only run from time to time.
