my cpu is a 64 x2 3800+ .I am thinking of up gradeing it what would any one suggest .If i take it up to a 64x2 5000+ would i get much of a difference

Then the highest for you is the X2 4800+ I believe. I wouldnt do it, simply because theres not a huge increase in performance between the two, you should try overclocking yours until you decide to get an Intel Core 2 Duo.

completely agree just wanted to here it from some one else looks like it will have to be a complete rebuild to change to Intel Core 2 Duo

5000+ is just slightly slower than e6300 at stock speeds. if your using the 3800+ brisbane version it overclocks really well up to 3ghz
