Which card is better you guys think?

My friend is getting a new video card soon,which is the Nvidia 8800gts 320MB version.I have a Nvidia 7950 GT KO 512MB.I know the Nvidia 8800gts 640MB version would beat mine by a long shot.So which card is beter the 7950gt ko or the 8800gts 320 Mb version ?:confused:
 
The 8800GTS 320 should and because it is DX10, it is no doubt better for those games =D

Also a bit off topic, but how do you like the Pentium D your using?
 
Cool, I was thinking about getting a quad supporting mobo and a PD to hold me over, all hypothetical ofcourse.

On topic: the 8800GTS in reviews is compared to the 7900line (as in the target in the next generation) but Im not sure how the benchmarks for those two cards line up. In the long run it's like 90$ more for 640MB 8800GTS.

Ill try to find the site with Side By Side Comparisons.
 
Yeah man I'm going to get a Core 2 Quad eventually.Pentium D's are pretty decent CPU's,mine scored a 4.9 on windows Vista Ultimate 5.9 being the highest score.If you're getting a Pentium D I would recommend the 950 @ 3.4Ghz :D
 
Yeah, I was actually looking at the 940, however, I'll take your word for it. Also, how do you like that Zalman cpu fan?
 
Well Pentium D's run a little hot so I upgraded my heatsink and fan.That Zalman reduced my CPU temp by 15 F it is at 110F at idle and 138F full load.It was at 125F at idle before with the stock heatsink and fan.It's a bid tricky installing it however,it took me a while.
