Which Card?

I built a PC a while ago, and I used the motherboard's built-in graphics, which worked fine. Then, I set up a dual-boot with linux, and tried to play a 3D game. It went as slow, like 2 fps. I also have a hobby in programming, and I need a card that can run XNA. Also, I dont have a huge amount of money to blow on it.

What budget do you have and also do you have pci-e or agp?

i have agp and for the budget, just anything not tooooooo expensive.
