i need to buy a case to fit my p4p800 se asus motherboard in

i run 2 cd drives and 2 hard drives with 1 3.5

im going to be running a 3.0e P4 prescott 800fsb

and 2 512mb sticks of 3200 memory

what case should i go with?

i dont need a power supply i already have one

but my old case is all hacked up cause its from my GFs gateway computer and i had to cut the hell out of it toget things to fit

i picked this one out on newegg but it says it doesnt cool very well which is probably not good for the 3.0e prescott

lmao, i know this is gonna be a stupid question but im a lil bit tired and i cant think too well atm. Why does it have 4 fan things on the inside at the front if the front of the case is solid  . the air flow doesnt look too balanced to me, 2 fans at the side, and from what it looks like, a small fan at the back. better to get one with fans at the front and back. then if need be cut your own fan holes

anyone have a better option?

suposedly the airflow come from a slit in the bottom front of the case

but ultimately thats what bothered me about this case as well

You could always have your side fans blow air in, but having only one rear exhaust is no good. I suggest you keep looking for a better case. Possibly one with at least one front intake fan pulling fresh air in and at least one rear exhaust fan for better air flow.

What difference does the case actually make? Airflow of course, but what else?
Well, after it's setup and if it stays in one place for the rest of its life - nothing. If its going to be moved around a bit its nice to have a sturdier case. Also cheap cases tend to have a lot of sharp edges that can cut you during hardware installation/swap.

my case cost me £15/$28ish, its much better tham my mates case, he spent about £60 on his. he was very surprised when he say it. no sharp edges looks good, temp read out on the front. very pleased

*case strength
*airflow
*expandability
*user friendly
*(gotta be sexy looking)
*extras (professional grade power supplies, fans, key & locks)

They did have a special back in April where any item could be shipped for $1. Or maybe that was just certain things... maybe that will come around again.

If you have the money, try and get something from Thermaltakes Xaser line-up.
Very sturdy cases, excellent cooling, some (if not all) with a lock on it.
I picked up a Xaser III full tower a yr or two back, spent 200 on it, money well spent. 2 front fans, 2 side, 1 top, 2 rear, toolless assembly (besides motherboard, of course, and external 3.5 bays). Fan speed controller for 4 fans and temp read-out, it's a damn good case for just about anybody.

the LOWEST priced on newegg is still gonna cost you $56 including ship. if it bothers you that much you should consider buying on locally.
