which coax?

Hi to you all!
I have a question that may sound stupid to the educated, I am renovating the house and want to move my modem and pc to another room, doing this requires renewing the coax from point of entry to the house, to my modem.I want to know if satellite coax will do the job or will it have to be the same coax that the isp (ntl) supplied on installation. I'm not sure about loss of band width etc.

I'm sure you will be fine using a good quality RG-6/U type cable (used for satellite, TV, cable modems). More info in the link below.

Hi Ghost and thank you for the speedy reply, all I know is the guy in the cable shop knew diddly squat, so I took a chance and got the sky approved cable for satellite which is thinner and didn't know if it would be up to the job!
