Intel Core Duo E6600 2x2.4ghz 1066mhz FSB 4mb L2 Cache

Im trying to build a high gaming pc and wondered which cpu would run games better?

Sorry about the niavity im not up to scatch these days it started getting a bit complicated with dual processors etc....

Cheers in advance.

:D I think by now you should know the answer, but just to be safe,

THE CORE 2 DUO IS MILES AHEAD IN PROSSESING DATA COMPARED WITH THE PENTIUM D. THAT ALSO MEANS IT IS FAR SUPERIOR AT PLAYING GAMES!:D

The Core 2 Duo takes a huge crap on everything named Pentium.

are the duo's true 64bit cores, tho? or are they simply 'compatible' with 64bit code via some sort of emulation?

will 64bit ever be an advantage for gaming in the near future?

seems like there was a lot more talk about 64bit gaming a few years ago when the amd64 first came out, and now nobody ever speaks about the almighty "64bit"
