Which cpu should i buy?

Hi, im planning of upgrading my comp whit the future release of vista. Im gonna buy a video card that support Dx10 (i hope they will release a dual-gpu card!). But for now i feel the need to upgrade my processor to play the latest game like Titan quest, Prey, Quake Wars, Crysis and even more.

My cpu is a Amd 3500. What do you think is the best cpu i can get? I know the Fx 60 and the Amd 4800 X2 are the best but is it worth it to spend 200$ for a little extra power?


P.S. Do you think they will release a new brand of cpu whit the realease of vista? Sorry if this sound like a newb question and for the bad spelling

The one you have should work fine, but if you want to upgrade it should be fine to as long as you have 200$.

I would get a better graphics card rather than getting a better CPU because i heard that windows vista will have demanding visual effects !

They're out already. Dont expect DX10 cards out anytime soon.
