Which CPU to choose for budget build

I am building a budget PC, or I guess just upgrading the core components. I am keeping my case, PSU, DVD drive, and HDD. For the RAM, I'm going with 4GB G.Skill Ripsaw series, like $25. I think I've found the GPU, but am having trouble deciding on the CPU.

Athlon II X2 270 Regor 3.4GHz Socket AM3

Intel Pentium E6600 Wolfdale 3.06GHz LGA 775

Intel Pentium G620 Sandy Bridge 2.6GHz LGA 1155

And the video card I've chosen..

EVGA GeForce GT 430 (Fermi)

The 775 is outdated.
The G620 is only 2.6Ghz.

If it's a pre-built your upgraging - what PC is it?
If it's custom built - mainly what power supply does it have?
Changing motherboards will require a fresh install of Windows.
Do you have a budget amount?

It's custom built. The PSU is a FSP Group 400W dual 12v rail. I'll take a look at the 6670. It does look pretty good after the rebate. Or how about a GTS250? Would the PSU run these cards?

How big of a deal is it that the G620 is only at 2.6GHZ? While the wolfdale has higher FSB and is at 3.06GHZ. The AMD is at 3.4GHZ and has hyper transport..

really the g620 will prob be the fastest option.

and fsp group is a no-no, you'll want to change that pretty soon cuz these cards will be wanting about all it'll give, and that generally ends badly with one of those brands.
