Which CPU to get? Limited choices

So thanks to some fellow forum posters I have come to a selected list of available CPU I can have. So im using the LGA 775 style socket which limits a few things. This is a list of the processors that my HP s5412 will support. My question is which one should I get? My main use for this will be streaming gameplay from my xbox via a video capture device to a site called twitch. The computer will not be used for gaming itself. My Pentium E5400 2.7 is stressed to the max not allowing me to compress the files enough putting lots of work from my upload speed.

Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:

◾Core 2 Quad Q8xx0/Q9xx0 (Yorkfield core) (95W)

◾Core 2 Duo E8xx0 (Wolfdale core) (65W)

◾Core 2 Duo E7xx0 (Wolfdale core) (65W)

◾Pentium Dual Core E5xx0 (Wolfdale core) (65W)

◾Celeron Dual Core E1xx0 (Conroe core) (65W)

◾Celeron 4xx series (Conroe core) (35W)

Thanks again for all your help

Your best bet if you can find one is this.

◾Core 2 Quad Q8xx0/Q9xx0 (Yorkfield core) (95W)

Just make sure the cpu is a 95 watt model.

Do either a C2D E8xxx or a C2Q. Either of those will be a large upgrade from a your current one. From what I recall, the Q9400 was a popular choice in it's heyday.

The Q9300 was very popular back in its day, as was the Q9400. See if you can grab either one of those, or look at the Q9550 and Q9650 if your board supports them.

A Core 2 Quad would be a better choice than a Core 2 Duo E8400 for example.

Thanks for all the replies. So a Intel core 2 quad Q9400 2.66GHz would be a good jump from my dual core Pentium? Also anything I need to look for when ordering one? Johnb said to make sure its 95w..Anything else?
