Which External to Buy?

My Sony DVD-RW failed,Again....im in need of a replacement external DVD-RW drive that's non Sony.

I'm stuck between these 3 choice,All 3 have 8x write speeds (Write speed don't matter to me)...and are all similarly priced.

Btw if your wondering why it has to be External,I have a large fan in the front of my case where the DVD drive should go
And i prefer externals anyway,No case vibration!

Surprising your having bad experiences with Sony, generally speaking they are some of the best drives you can get. Of those, i would go with the LG first, Samsung Second, LiteOn last.

+1 on bombers comment, what happened with the Sony drive/s you had?

My brand preference is also the same.

you know i have owned a few liteon drives and i think there brilliant, i have had issues with sony, philips and lg....

even though its a not so good make it gets my vote

Well the first Sony drive i had lasted about a month,Then one day i came to use it and it did nothing,wouldn't eject or show up in my computer....I Rma it they said it was faulty and sent me a new one.

That worked fine for a bit but now it take forever to read disks,it clicked as it reads but still worked so i just put up with it....but tonight its just clicking away trying to read my GTA IV disk and again its not showing up in my computer!

Id never buy a sony drive again.

All of my LG DVD drives have died. I have a samsung now and it's flawless...
