Out of those, the 8600gt. For the same amount (USD), you can purchase the 3850 which is about 3+ times better.

Totally agree, get the HD3850. It can run most of the newest games at nice settings with decent FPS.

The $211 256mb is just a couple bucks more than the 8600gt, and as I said earlier, several times stronger. The memory is just a tad low, still, If you're a gamer, this is probably the best card you can get for the money. Two in crossfire equal one 8800gtx

The 1gig memory the 8600GT has is absolutely useless for today's games, 512mb is more than enough even for crysis. If you can find an 8600GT DDR3 or an 8600GTS DDR3 that would be much better.

Incredibly. Although it's not as bad as they say, I wouldn't get it. The lowest I'd stoop is the 8600GTS, and still there, probably the same cost as the HD3850. I have it, and I don't regret it one bit.

Plays all my games at max settings, highest resolution, lag free. Can't wait to try out Crysis Demo.

Why are you looking at 512MB 8500GT's and 1GB 8600GT models? You don't need over 256MB for the 8500GT, and absolutely no more then 512MB for the 8600GT.

my dad has the HD3850 (512MB) an that can play Crysis on medium at 1024 x 768 so your 256MB one will probly be a little lower
