Which graphics card? (4 options)

In the process of creating a gaming PC on a custom build website but I am stuck on with graphics card to pick.

1) 512MB nVidia 9600GT PCI-Express Graphics Card
2) 1GB ATI Radeon HD 4670 PCI Express Graphics Card
3) 512MB ATI HD4770 PCI Express Graphics Card
4) 512MB nVidia 9800GT PCI-Express Graphics Card

From what people have said nVidia is the best choice, but 2 seems so tempting with 1GB.

out of those options, the 9800gt wins easily. even with 512mb memory it has faster transfer rates than the rest of those cards. 1gb of memory only helps when you run @ 1600x1200 resolution or higher. perhaps lower resolutions too but nothing lower than 1280x1024, otherwise it's a waste.

+1, 9800GT... although if the HD 4770 is cheaper, I'd get that, since it's slightly slower in some games, and slightly faster in others, if it's cheaper than the 9800GT, it would be the best bang for your buck.
Actually, now that I read a few reviews, I think I would go with the Radeon HD 4770 - it is just as fast as the 9800GT, sometimes faster, and a tad slower than the 9800GTX+ and the HD 4850. Check out these benches:

EDIT: Heck, now that I've read the full review in detail, I'd definitely get the 4770! Check out the benches on Far Cry 2 and Enemy Territory, the 4770 spanks both the 9800GT and 9800GTX+, and runs neck and neck with the more expensive 4850! This is an impressive budget card, to say the very least! Has a nice 2-slot cooler on it too, if the one you're getting is reference design as this one in said review is...
Get the 4770 until you can afford to get something later that's GTX260/HD4870 or better. Just my 2 units of a dollar.

Damn, but I can't buy those cards because it's to far out my price range. Is there any chance you could find one of those bench tests for the 512MB nVidia 9800GT?

isnt that a little expensive, for what it is?

He's on a "custom build" website, of course it is:P

Go with the 4770. Its almost as fast a 4850, which is about on par with a 9800GTX+. It also overclocks ridiculously well, probably to the level of a 4850 even, which again, is superior to the 9800GT. The 1Gb card may be tempting, but its money gone to waste. The big number looks nice, but in practical usage, won't result in much, if any of a performance increase.

This the 4770 is a VERY good budget card. People seem to love the 9600gt but IDK why. I would rather have a 8800 gtx or ultra then a 9600gt IMHO. Out of the list the 4770 is the best. But if you want to spend 10 or so more dollars get this.
4850 1gb for 120 usd
