Hi,

Im not too good with computers so hoping someon can help?

I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 P4 3.00GHz, 2GB DDR2 Ram, 128mb ATi Radeon x600 SE.

I want to upgrade my graphics card to either of the following, which is a better card. I am thinking the 512mb is better????

1) 256 MB RADEON X600 PCIe
2) ATI Radeon X1600PRO 512MB

Thanks,

Nope, thats not the way you look for a good card. The 256MB x600 will perform exactly the same. The x1600PRO would be a bit better, but it still a horrible card.

Depending on your budget, look for the 256MB 7600GS/GT, or if your on a bigger budget, the 256MB 7900GS.

Thanks.

As my system is a Dell Optiplex GX620 I am quite limited to the card I can upgrade two, ell thats what Dell said anyway.

So the two I listed are the only choices I have.

I might as well go for the 256mb as it is only 40GBP and the 512mb is almost 120GBP.

Well heres your problem

The Small Form Factor GX620 model, understandably, has room for only half-height expansion cards.

Some of the Dell reps are as much use as a chocolate teapot so does anyone know what grphics will be compatible with my system? Optiplex GX620 Small Factor
