Which is better in your opinion

Maybe you should look at a 5770 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-310-_-Product. It falls between the 4850 and 4870 in performance, but has DX11 support, and ATI eyefinity. It also consumes less power then the 4850 or 4870.

how does the 5770 fall in between the 4850 & the 4870 is this just enough play on numbers tricks they pull on people :P Like the higher the complete number isen't the better choice and the 5 in 5770 is just the series but the 770 is the real number look at?

Or Like a 4770 be better then a 4860

The 5770 is a next gen budget card that was released for people that want DX11 and eyefinity, and a low power consumption card. Just like when the 4870 was released soon after the 4770 was released. The 5770 is only 128bit, an has lower core clock. It has the same Stream Processors an a higher memory clock. For what you lose you easily gain in support for DX11(for future games) and the ability to have up to 3 monitors on one card.
