Which is better or both alike?

OK for a little bit I have had the MSI 770T-C45. Today I was just handed a brand spanking new never used MSI K9A2 Platinum motherboard. I had been having problems with my system rebooting due to a hyper-transport sync flood issue, but I believe I have resolved that, sorta. OK, now onto the should I switch or not question...

Just recently I got another system that has an AMD Phenom ii X4 965 processor in it. I checked the CPU support for the K9A2 motherboard, and it says it will accept a 965. The only thing is, is the K9A2 only accepts DDR2 memory. Also the 965 is sitting on an Asus M3A79XTD Evo motherboard which accepts DDR3 memory and came with 4gb memory installed in it. What would you choose to do? Would you use the 965 CPU in the K9A2, or use the Asus M3A79XTD to be able to switch over to DDR3, or would you just leave it as it states in my signature for now until something that would really make a difference come along?

Yes, it's the one you said. My bad, was kinda in a rush typing it in. So, would you take the time to change over. What kind of differences will I notice? In switching over to the DDR3 system am I going to have to reinstall windows?

Well its not the memory that makes the difference with windows. Its the chipset/sound/LAN all might different. A clean install is (always) better. But if you want to try. Uninstall all the drivers that have anything to do with the old board before you swap out and the video card driver if you swap it out. After the swap, boot up and if it does boot, install all the new drivers. You will probably have to reactivate windows.
