Sorry if there is already a post about this but i was unable to find one

I was wondering what would overclock better the E4400 or E6300??
I have heard people saying the E6300 is better but i have also heard people say the E4400 is better so i am confused

I will be using a Gigabyte DS3 mobo if that makes a difference

Thanks in Advance

The E4300 has a higher potential because of it's higher multiplier, but I personally havent done it or read reviews of it yet.

I am aiming to OC to about 3-3.4Ghz so what cpu would be easiest to reach that without having to stress the cpu too much

C2d's all run on similar core architecture.. All three CPU's should be equally stressed at 3.4ghz. I personally would get the e4400 over the e6300 because 1: E4400 has a higher multiplier and 2: it's cheaper. I wouldn't consider paying extra for the e6320 and it's extra cache cause frankly, it doesn't make much of a difference.

hrmmmmmm

i guess the E4400 is the choice for me???? i heard it gives 20% less performance from a friend....is he true???

Dont get the E4400. If you're going to get the 4 series, getting the 4300.

Either go with the E4300 or E6320, depending on how much you want to spend.

Double the L2 cache for 30 bucks. I would go with the 6320 unless your starving and want to go to Burger King or somehow you know a way to invest the 30 and make a million.
