which is better, a 2600xt or an 8600GT/GTS

The GTS is supposed to pack performance around a 7900gs' level. It would be the best out of the three, obviously. The 8600gt, likewise with the 7600gt. I'm not sure about the 2600xt, but I think it's supposed to be comparable to the 8600gt, give or take alittle in either direction.

i had a look at the benchmarks an the 8600GTS256 MB is even vith the 2600 XT
but the 8600GTS 512 is better by a little bout 12%

he's right the 8600GTS is better then the 2600XT but it cannot be found for under 160$, at which price it is morally repugnant not to buy an HD 3850 for the price.
