Which is better?

Two of those in SLI or a single 4850? The price difference is about 40/50 dollars between the cards. Also, this would be with a Wolfsdale 8400 3.0ghz.

I'd say the HD4850 is better both price and performance wise.

Remember the golden rule in the SLI/Crossfire world: 1 + 1 = 1.5

I'd think that it'd be faster than the HD 4850. Then again, just get the 9800GTX+

Can't you read properly... it's the 9800GTX+. It's not the same as the original 9800GTX.

This isn't between a 9800XXX and the 4850. It's two 8800gt's in SLI.

Well there are pros and cons to SLi.
You would probably get better performance with 2 8800GT's in SLI, but you would not be able to use dual monitors. You would also be taking up twice as many slots. What about saving and waiting for the 4870x2?

4850 is not $100 cheaper, it just around $30 cheaper.

Furthermore, Nvidia released 9800GTX+ which does compete very well with HD4850. Also, it has dual-slot cooler, which mean that it produce much less heat.

Yea well a single 9800GTX+ costs cheaper than 8800GT in SLi and the performance should be similar.
