Which is better?

My previous cpu on this computer was a AMD 3500+

My brothers computer that he got somewhere in 2003 has a Pentium 4 2.4

Which one is better?

Just wondering.

The Athlon 64 3500 is faster. Period. Wipe the floor with it and probably kick it a few times in the meantime.

i'm assuming it's athlon 64? there were no 3500 athlon xp's?

but yeah the 3500 kills the p4 2.4ghz. my brother had a 2.4ghz p4 in his comp, and my athlon xp 2600+ faired about the same.

I just said 3500+ by that I meant AMD 64 3500+

There was no Athlon XP 3500. Only Athlon 64. There was a XP 3200 and some extent limited edition XP 3400 (rare). Really even those would dust a 2.4 P4
