If you could choose one upgrade for a laptop, would you choose to upgrade the processor from intel's core 2 duo 2.16ghz to 2.33ghz or upgrade from 2gb of 667 ram to 3gb of 667, assuming all upgrades are of equal cost and convenience to install
Go for the processor upgrade. Getting 3GB of RAM is pretty pointless now, not to mention it disables dual-channel mode so it may actually decrease performance.
Go wit the processor upgrade. 2GB is high, 4 GB is overkill (in most cases)... so 3's the in the middle... and thats a bit of an overkill. Processor upgrade you will notice a slight difference, but it also depends on the cost.
I agree with what others have said as well, you can add to your RAM later, but you cant add to your processor speed later - you would need to replace it.
