Which laptop should I get if I'm studying systems engineering?

hey!
I just started on this degree and I'd like to know which laptop would you recommend me to get, Asus or MacBook.
I've previously worked on Mac but when it comes to generating the javaDoc, it just can't be done. Could you please help me with this?

A mac is fine if you can also run Windows. Anything with quad core and 8GB ram and preferably a GPU that will allow you to run softworks or similar that you may require later...
