Which laptop should I get?

I'm looking to get a new laptop. I wanna spend $500-600. I was looking at either an HP or a Sony Vaio or a Toshiba. Anyone have any other suggestiions or which one is better? Any info/advice would be appreciated.

I would recommend Hp, Toshiba and as a last resort Sony Vaio. It would be nice to know what you are doing. My wife use to work retail and the Sony Vaio was the number one returned laptop due to breaking.

I did some research on this one and it seems pretty solid and a good price.

Toshiba would be the one. Sony usually overpriced. HP out of consideration as they are not cheap or reliability.

Asus should also be considered for its reliability.

Acer/ Gateway should be considered for their good value for money.

Thanks for the info. I think I may go with toshiba. I am just doing everyday computing for school and personal use. I use the internet, microsoft office, and sometimes adobe photoshop. But for the most part it will be for every day use. I want one that is reasonably priced and is good quality.

i would avoid both toshiba and HP, toshiba just way too expensive when it comes to repair, while HP build quality is low, the outer casing will brake easily.

i would suggest looking into other brand like lenovo and asus, check them out on newegg, they are great laptops and have better reviews.
