  • 500GB (5400RPM) Serial ATA Hard Drive
  • Primary 9-cell 85 WHr Lithium Ion battery
  • Internal UK/Irish Qwerty Backlit Keyboard
  • 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD5470 Graphics Card

Sony Vaio E Series £778

  • Intel® CoreTM i5-450M, 2.40GHz with 3 MB L2/L3 Cache
  • Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium
  • 320 GB Serial ATA (7200 rpm)
  • 4 GB 1066MHz DDR3-SDRAM

So i ask you which is more reliable and has better performance etc.

Dell has better Ram, for faster faster progrmas operations. But Sony has better Hard drive, although slower but its 7200rpm, which is better then the Dells, also it has a better GPU with 5650 rather than 5470. i mean as you can see from below, i have that GPU and it works brilliatly for any latest games i have played. Plus my experience with Dell does not make me tell you to go for Dell, i do not mean customer service, but the products i have and i had 3 dells in the past, all of which blue screened a lot, crashed, although most of the time they did work well. I would say my Sony does not have a good battery power, so think about that. The sony would have the turbo boost i think, at least my one has it. ,

or indeed think about the Toshiba's intorduced by Daisymtc, do consider less branded laptops although toshiba is still branded.
