I'm looking to pick up a laptop for school. Its main use will be with graphic/flash programs such as Macromedia studio8 "flash/dreamweaver/fireworks" and Photoshop CS2. Now i notice alot of people like apples when doing this sort of work, and at school its mainly apple so which laptop would you recommend that wont kill the bank?

I think it will do very well in what you want to do it for.
The only thing I might do is put 2GB of ram in it but that is your choice.

Just go with apple its the safe choice. i use a dell but im building a new dt so i will prolly give my laptop to my mom. so yeah go with a apple and you should be happy
Only thing is ive never used an apple
They are easy to use. thats what ive found with them. and theres a lot less hassle in my opinion. but depends what you want. i have a dell and a Mac so i can relate but overall i prefer Dell. but apple is easier to use.

make sure it has centrino mobile technology. saves on battery. other than that, dual core is nice. and a nice amount of hard drive space...
id get something with a core 2 duo, or a core duo... pentium m and core solo are good too. definitely not celeron m though, they suck a lot of juice.
