Which Mobo to get for Crysis?

Cross

Alright, so heres my backstory. I'm a student in high school, and im craving to play some High End games and such. I don't really have THAT much money, I'm looking to spend anywhere from like 1,200 to 1,500$ CAD on a computer.

I've pretty much decided on most stuff but the Mobo is just killing me, at first I wanted to get a 780i. But I don't think its worth it anymore. What are some suggestions?? I'm looking to get a decent FPS on Crysis.

Motherboards really doesn't have an impact on your "FPS" or performance, unless its ultra cheap ;)

IF you don't need SLI or Crossfire, i would get something like the Gigabyte P35 DS3R.

Do you know what other parts your getting? assuming your getting intel.

Yes it does. PCI-E x16 and PCI-E 2.0, remember?

And seeing as he's getting the GT...

Get the X38-DS4.

i wouldnt get a 780 unless if you really are gonna use the 3 slots and put a heavy psu in there, but crysis is demanding altho i hear the 8800gt runs them fine

DS3L's a great board for the price, and I also recommend the E8400. $1,200-$1,500 CAD would probably get you a top of the line rig right now, so you could probably afford an X38 and a Q9450 (when it comes out).

Are Dual SLI 9600GTs a good idea? I read somewhere that there is a 82% performance boost from the second Card and I'd think that could be good =P
