Which motherboard

Im building a new computer and i was just woundering which motherboard and processor you all think will preform the best. I want a athlon 64. This will be used for gaming and videos. I have 300 dollars to spend on the board and processor. I want the board to be highly expandable

you could squeeze in a c2d E6300, with a relative cheap mobo, but retaining some good overclocking room (if you were that way inclined), maybe BOXDG965RYCK .

But there is no sli / cross fire options for that board, to retain c2d (cornoe) and have cross fire option you would need to move to intel975 eg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813127235
but that puts you over budget

But maybe an lower end AMD rig would give you better mobo options (on an AM2 socket), but ill let someelse come up with ideas for that
 
Whats a good mobo to use and processor with it. for under 300. i dont want it to have internal gc card
