which msconfig services are safe to disable/enable

Hi, I'm trying to maximize my windows xp's performance for the game world of tanks. Which unnecessary services can I disable with msconfig?

Also is there a list of basic services or startup items that you need enabled in msconfig? Ideally I want basic tasks (networking, audio, etc) and my firewall activated to minimize background processes. I googled for this info for awhile but could not find a definitive answer

Depending on your version of windows they can change. I leave most enabled, except ones like CardSpace, Volume Shadow Copy, Indexing, Remote Registry, and others. Look here and search for each service to learn what they are for and if they can be safely disabled, and what dependencies they have:
