Which of the 2 cards...........?

Hey guys, planning on getting a new card but not sure what to get so Im rounding up my options. First would be the 4830, not sure how great of the card is but the little cut from the 4850 streamers should be great certainly for its price!

Second is the 9800gt, the cards compete at the same levels. Which of the 2 are better, these 2 are in the same budget of my limit, and i will be gaming at 1400X900.

Any suggestions will be lovely, thanks guys!
 
at your resolution, both cards would perform admirably. Just get whichever is cheaper, they are both about the same performance.
 
Also check what your default graphics adapter is. I tried to install an 8600GT into a computer with built in ATi graphics. I ended up having to uninstall CCC and disable the onboard in the BIOS. Not really too complicated but more of a hassle than not.
 
i dont have onboard vga, but if you meant uninstalling the drivers, im certain of knowing what to do but thanks!
 
the 9800GT,better than a 4830.

even a 4850 isnt that much of an improvement compared to a 88-9800GT.
