And please enlighten me more about this building ur own kit

You purchase everything seperately, put it together yourself, test it, and run it. It's quite easy really unless you are planning something INSANE in your loop. And buying the parts yourself insures you are getting quality products, and aren't stuck with a crappy aluminum block, tiny tubing, weak pump, and small rad. Learning how to connect it all is next to common sense, but reviews are all over the web, along with video reviews, and how-to's, if you have any questions/problems.

Yes if i screw up and theres a leak Fuc*@!#@@!

And Wads the differences in the sizes of water blocks like 1/2 and 1/4 and 3/8

That's what 24+ hr. testing is for. you never run it for the first time fully installed. Test it outside case for a few days to make sure there are no leaks.

That's tubing size. 1/2 is best for best water flow, smaller tubing = less water = less cooling. in most basic of terms. some people run 3/8 and cool just fine...but i prefer 1/2.

Om i took electronics and i for got this... Wow i must be stupid

Ac current is what u get out of your outlet in the wall right yes.. and then dc or direct current is what you u get from your pc power supply right..

Cause there are 2 types of pumps one for ac power the other for dc

SO which one hooks to your power supply for the pc?

And since u are so "knowlageable" about water cooling then tell me What pump is the best out there and what pump do u prefer and why and please answer my post above first

hmm...well alot of people suggest DangerDen blocks, i have always liked them. But it really is up to you and what design you want. Copper is best, and you don't want to pay too little as "you get what you pay for". I usggest DangerDen, but i dunno if they make socket 940 blocks or not.

You can get a "switch" which connects directly to your PSU no matter which kind you get. i suggest purchasing one of thses as it will power on your pump as soon as you hit the power button on your case. Running it from the wall is OK, but you might forget to turn it on and fry sumthin, or a power outage will turn it off and your PC will stay on (mine does as i run it on a UPS that saves power for like 1hr. b4 draining) and that is dangerous.

A lot of blocks uses different sizes of barb, 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4". 1/4 which is very uncommon nowadays, 1/2 and 3/8 are most commonly used. 1/2 are less restrictive when it comes to water flow and are preffered than 3/8, as what 4W4K3 said, setting up your own WC is more advisable than buying a kit. You can choose the best block you can get in the market, you save on $$$ and it will give you added experience. Do some research, ask question before you start buying your hardware for your WC, for sure your going to enjoy setting up your own WC.

here are some links to get WC hardware

There are better ways of increasing your post count without being dumb about it. We dont live here and have other things to do too ... like school and work and stuff. So if you dont get an answer in 8 minutes dont have a crisis

I have jsut run into this problem while looking for water coolers

The radiator that i want to get it a 120 mm fan on it so i need a 120 mm intake or hole what ever u call it on my case? So im guessing i have to do some work and drill a hole cause my case the chemning 601 doesnt have a 120mm fan intake
