Which one should I get between the two?

I would always go with HP, better quality, and from what I can see it has better configuration equipment then Toshiba one.
 
The HP one does have a better configuration, especially if you want a 17" screen instead of a 15" screen. I don't know that HP is better quality though. I've never owned an HP laptop but have read lots about problems with HP laptops on various forums, particularly regarding overheating issues.

I own a Toshiba laptop and haven't had any issues with it.
 
I have a Toshiba laptop 17" . its an old one and always worked.
One thing. If for school ya might want to consider something smaller like the 15".
the 17" will be heavy. carrying around will not be fun.
 
I think I'm going to go with the Toshiba, mainly because it has a better graphics card and hey, its a touch screen as well. Yes, the Toshiba has 2GB less of RAM, but I dont think Ill need 8GB. I want this laptop for some gaming, yes I know its not the best for gaming, but I want something that will record well. The Toshiba looks to be the best bet for me :) Thanks guys!
 
The Toshiba was probably the better choice. 1366x768 looks a tad too big on 15.6" displays for me and on 17.3" displays it makes everything look so huge that the point of having the 17" display for increased real estate is gone because the resolution is too small for a display of that size.
