I'm debating on the video card situation right now. I'm not sure if I want just one big one, like an X800XL or two smaller ones. I'm thinking it wise to get the 800 now and then just buy another later when the prices come down.

Help me out!

I've read that the K8N is one of the best motherboards out there for gaming. I don't know cause I don't have one, but I know many people like it.

i have read tests of those 3 (we'll actually 4, the asus k8n also)
and in performance the asus was only 2% faster as the DFI ,the msi and the gigabyte.
we'll and the Albatron is the best overclocker board of all the amd-sli boards yet :)

it is just as fast as the others. but when they started overclocking the test rig's. the albatron was gaining :D

so i prefer the Albatron mobo. (and of those 3, i prefer the MSI, because they make reall reliable mobo's)

If you get the uprgrade of about $12 to a DFI Lanparrty UT nF4 Ultra-D, it was rated the best 939 board. Lots of OCing features, but its not SLI. The SLI-DR is its more expensive brother and is also quite nice and supports SLI.

Okay, so I'm gonna throw Alabatron in the mix. However, I've never known anyone to have used one, so I know little about their reliability and what not. Enlighten me!

Hehe too bad they arent pushing the machines as hard as they can ... a 3000+? OC testing should be done with a FX series and VX/Redline .... not because everyone can afford it ... but to rule out the CPU/memory being a bottleneck and so the test focuses on the mobo

my friend had one, he liked it.

Rar. I"m still confused...vote more!
Make up your own mind! :P

Have you looked in to Abit . Abit makes great boards and they come with the Uguru overclocking program.
Abit does make nice boards indeed but like ASUS, their K8 boards havnt lived up to the levels of their K7 and P4 boards :)
