I know this question has been asked again and again but I'm torn between these 2 boards.
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum
DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D
I will be using an AMD 3200+ (Win. core) and 1 gig of Corsair pc3200 ddr ram and an Asus PCI-e 6600GT. I really don't anticipate ever needing SLI and I will be sticking to IDE hdd's so if you see any issues with my choices please bring them to my attention.
I intend to use this for internet use and some games such as Myst, Nascar, and any other games I can finally play without issue, my last system had me "morphing" everytime I tried something new so I gave up.
I have never OC'd in the past only because I couldn't with my old system or I'm sure I would have .
Rumor has it the DFI is "all that and a bag of chips" when it comes to OCing but I've read that some seem to have issues with the onboard LAN and I don't need issues with the small stuff
.
I really like the fact that MSI has more PCI slots but I'm not so sure I'll need them with everything being incorporated into the board.
Right this moment the DFI is cheaper and in stock at Newegg while the MSI is out of stock. I am not a very patient person when it comes to this sort of thing. I know if I wait for the MSI board they probably won't have something else on my list...like the CPU
or some other unimportant part
I would appreciate your input and thanks
