Which out of two power supplies?

Okay, so I'm looking at two great deals for a PSU on ebay.
This one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/AcBel-R8-Power-...8?cmd=ViewItem&pt=PCA_UPS&hash=item27b12a2828
And this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ACBEL-ATX-550W-...5?cmd=ViewItem&pt=PCA_UPS&hash=item53d4966cf7
They both seem similar, but the Acbel R8 seems higher quality. The only reason I would go with the OEM one would be because my case doesn't have top vents. For this reason, the fan on the Acbel R8 would have to blow air off my CPU, which would be good, except I'm worried it would mess up the airflow blowing onto the CPU. Would it? It's a stock Intel cooler.

Also, another question: Do the 120mm fans on the bottom of the PSU blow air out, or in?

I wouldn't buy either of those if I were you. You don't want to skimp out when buying a PSU. It's the backbone of the system. Better think about buying a corsair, antec, OCZ, thermaltake powersupply.

^That looks like an even better deal. :D Thanks for the link, I didn't get to look at the other ones he was selling. I read that Acbel was a good brand at this link, though:

Edit: I just looked closer at the enermax auction, and it has $15 shipping, vs. the free shipping for the one on ebay. There's a nice Powerman one on his site that costs <$30 with shipping. I assume it's good, since Powerman is the same as FSP.
Here's the link to the Powerman PSU: http://www.vendio.com/stores/scottp...s-/power-man-500w-power-supply-w-/lid=2345368

If you look closely on that link, it says there no cables with that power supply, thats why its so cheap. So unless you have cable to attach to it, you'll be out of luck. Frankly, I would spend less than $50 on a power supply.

Oh yeah, you're right. I wasn't going to get the Enermax anyway, though, because it was too expensive with shipping. I really only want to spend $30 max with shipping on a PSU. I listed the link to this Powerman one I found in my previous post. I'm still leaning towards the Acbel, though, since it's still on Ebay. I looked up Acbel on google, and on various forums, people say they're pretty good.

EDIT: Here's a link to an article: http://tipidpc.com/viewtopic.php?tid=217321 The OP says that Acbel makes OEM PSUs for reputable companies.

And thats the reason why OEM machines are cheap, they use cheap parts. You can do what you want but you need to spend more money on a psu. I sure wouldn't buy a $30 unit for my custom built machine.

I don't know what its cost is outside of ebay, but I bet it's nowhere near the $25 that the seller's selling it for. I've decided that out of the two, the R8 II is better than the OEM one. On all the reviews I've seen online, people say it's heavy, well-built and stable. Also, although OEM manufacturers don't put the best components in, I'm pretty sure Apple (One of the brands listed) wouldn't risk their reputation with an unstable PSU. I think Acbel is just a brand that has little marketing towards the custom PC market. If I do decide to get it, I'll report to you guys if it fails, when or if it does.

Just checked over at PC Case Gear, i found this:

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_535&products_id=7901

It's not the best in terms of quality but it will run your rig just fine. I would suggets the same thing i got though:

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_535&products_id=12768 (got mine on ebay for $20 more in price :()

do not touch apevia ever.

The original PSU I put in here (I didn't buy it or put it in actually :P) was Apevia, 750W and managed to be overloaded from:

Asus P5N-E SLI
Intel E6750
4x2GB OCZ PC6400
dual 8600gt
1 Hitatchi Deathstar 180GB

750W should be able to run that system twice atleast. They are heaps of crap, stick to what you know is good.

The OCZ one posted is more than enough for the system and is also stable enough. It isn't the quality of your top ones (Corsair, PC P&P, SeaSonic, Silverstone etc) but still decent
