Which Pentium Processor models are true Dual-Cores? The Pentium D models are good processors I hear, but not true dual-core processors. Which Pentium models are?

And when is Intel going to drop the Pentium 4 models instead of continuing to come out with new Pentium 4 models? It gets confusing to the end user since the Pentium 4 line of processors have been around so long.

Pentium_dual_cores. To be more specific the e2140, 60, 80 line of chips. Very simply Conroe cores, but with half the L2 cache

Pentium D's were true dual cores in the sense they were 2 core in one physical package. Weren't very good though, compared to the competition.

yea the PD is not that bad my dad has a 3.4GHz PD an we can run crysis on high with his 3850.
it is a bit slower with everything else compared to my 6000+ but it is a pretty good gaming chip.
also it is very OCabal i have had it at 4.42GHz stable but to hot as my dad has the stock cooler on it but if he gets a new one ill be bumping his CPU to at least 4.0GHz.
overall it has been a good CPU

The Pentium Dual Core E5200, and higher, are nice dual cores. some of the higher number ones ones are better than the lower core 2 duo's.
