i searched google and they are only comparing raid 0 to a single raptor II

raid 0 with maxtor 250gb 7200rpm 16mb cache

or

raid 0 with wd raptor II 74gb 10,000rpm 8mb cache

maybe i need a benchmark.
 
Here's mine with duel 36.7G raptor drives... two 74 should be faster...

My money would be on the raptors the platter density of the maxtor 250gig at 7200rpm I dont believe would be fast enough to make enough difference to catch the raptors. If they were a pair of 320gb or 400gb then it would be close to call. But the raptors still have very good access times that I have not see a 7200rpm drive get close to.
