Which processor is better?

The AMD for sure. However you cant really overclock it as well, but at stock its already much faster than the intel. So it depends on how much you think you can OC that intel. But the AMD has a larger FSB and more features. So stock, the AMD, and OC that depends on your board, but i dont know if you can get that intel over the AMD. I'd say AMD.

what do you do with your computer.. sometimes a lower grade processor is better, like my dad just uses his for internet so he bought a cheap cool processor that allows him to stick his computer in a cabinet without any ventilation requirements at all really.

Well im just going to be doing some casual gaming such as the Battlefield series, a game called soldier front, and a game called warrock. Maybe wolfteam, but the game is just to damn glitchy. Oh and if you want to look up the case its called the Raidmax Ares, search it on newegg.

yay! And its only 69.99 =] And after christmas, ill upgrade to the Wolfdale E7200 =]. Oh, and did I miss something? theres a processor called the "xeon" now?

The Xeon's are Intel's server processors.

Why not just save the $70 you would spend on that low end intel and wait until after christmas to get something better than the E7200

sadly no one wants to help me =[

^ Lol, bumped after 15 minutes...

Anyways, I'd go for the Intel for sure just for the one reason that it is a monster at overclocking. I have my E2160 (stock 1.8GHz) Running at 2.7GHz no problem. Could do 3.0Ghz but I'd be pushing a bit.

If you plan on overclocking, there's no other way than Intel ATM.
