which processor is faster?

i'm buying a laptop with vista premium, but i can't decide between 2 laptops:

-the dell inspiron 1501 with an AMD® Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL56 processor

-the dell inspiron 6400 with a Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core T2080 Processor (1.73GHz,533MHz,1MB L2 cache) processor


which processor is better?

I'd say the T2080 but not by a whole lot. The rest of the system options could swing it either way. The Turion system probably will cost less which throws a few points it's way as far as I'm concerned. Plus the basic integrated video option you get, the Turion will have a better video card

This one has a T7400 processor! Which is clocked at 2.16GHz.

It doesn't matter anyway, in my book the 6400 beats the 1501 hands down.(Well from what i can find out about the 6400)
