I am customizing a new HP Media Center that I plan using almost solely for editing video with a fairly good program - its not Adobe Premiere but its not Windows Movie Maker either. And eventually I may upgrade to Premiere.
Anyway, I am trying to decide between:
Intel Core 2 Duo (3.0Ghz)
Intel Core 2 Quad (2.4Ghz)
I have no interest in multi-tasking, I'll just be focusing on the one video project at a time. So - two faster processors or four slower ones? Seems like four for multi-tasking makes sense, but since I don't need to multi-task... The Duo is $50 cheaper.
While I'm asking.. any suggestions on a different system for video editing? I'm very happy with my Media Center m480n, thats why I'm planning on getting another. (Something from the m100y series) I hear a new series is about to come out.. should I wait? Sorry! I just asked three questions.. I hope thats okay!
Thanks so much!
