Which processor?

Hoping you guys would be able to help me out.

Looking at two different processors on two HP DM3 models and I'm wondering which you would prefer and why.

Intel® Celeron® Processor SU2300 at 1.2GHz

or

AMD Athlon Neo processor L335 at 1.6GHz

I am thinking the Neo processor is more powerful but what would you say is the best? Thanks. :good:
 
This AMD is more powerful so I would go with that one, but I find it funny how every computer I have owned (laptop or desktop) the ones with AMD never last at long. I have always wonder why.
 
I'd go with the AMD. I also hope you aren't putting a bluray in that thing because a bluray option on a 13" screen is retarded.
 
i could be wrong, but i thought that i saw a chart at one time last year showing the throughput of various processors. if memory serves me correctly, the intel's usually had a higher throughput than a comparable amd chip of the same speed.

maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime though...
 
The AMD Athlon Neo processor L335 at 1.6GHz is definitely stronger.
AMD CPU's don't last as long as a Intel would, but depeding on how ventilated the laptop is.

**Also, I would suggest you buy one of those laptop stands. They're really useful for making the laptop actually last.
 
AMD has too, if I remember correctly a few years ago AMD quad cores had a cooling issue. but usually there lower power cpu's from both companies are pretty reliable.
