I'm buying a mobo and there are some models that say "DDR2 667" and others "DDR2 800" What does this means?
And will the ram from my current mobo (which manual says "DDR2-533") work on those mobos?
The differences seen between 533, 667, and 800 are the main difference as seen in megahertz. 533mhz, 667mhz, 800mhz = three different mempry speeds You strictly have to go by the specifications on the model board you have when installing memory. That will usually show what speeds it suppports. From the manual's DDR2 533 reference that is the fastest memory supported by the board. You can't run 667mhz or 800mhz DDR2 memory.

OK I found a mobo that is 800mhz and do support 533.
So if I use my current 533 ram instead of buying new 800mhz ram, will there be huge decrease in performance?
or is it barely noticeable?

The slower memory would see a diffence with the fastest cpu supported like on any board where in some sense the lower fsb slows down the cpu to match the speed the memory is at. The faster 667 or 800 memory would see some notice when going with the highest model cpu supported since you are then running at the stock max speeds. There's a gap between 533 and 800mhz.
