Which RAM?

Well, I'm slowly getting the parts I need for my new computer...the case is sitting in my sister's room (she moved out) and the graphics card is on its way to my house.

Next is the RAM. There are so many deals and different timings I could never come to a decision...so I'll let you guys do it. :P

Basically what I'm looking for is 2gb of DDR2-800 at a good cost:value ratio. For example the cheapest RAM here is about $58 (after shipping), but I'd be willing to spend a little more for better timings and/or a company with a better reputation.

Note: Some of these rebates end today (9/14) so I might be ordering by the end of the day.

RAM on Newegg:

Note: I have a $5 off coupon for this RAM.

RAM on ClubIT:
http://www.clubit.com/product_brows...R2 800 (PC2 6400)&opt=2&StartRow=11&PageNum=2

Note: There is an additional $5 off this RAM.

Thanks in advance for all of your help!!

Assuming you get the MIR and can use that $5 coupon that's a pretty good deal. After all the discounts the OCz stuff is a little better price though.

Not that I don't trust Cromewell, but does anyone else have suggestions or opinions?

BTW, when you say assuming you can use th $5 coupon and the MIR, etc, I'm assuming you're talking about the Corsair RAM on Newegg for ~$59? If that is the case, I'll have to order by the end of the night as that is one of the ones that the rebate ends today.

Alright so I looked through all the choices again and basically I narrowed it down to the Corsair ($59) and the OCZ ($55). The only difference between them is that the OCZ is $5 cheaper, and also the timings on the Corsair are 4-4-4-12 and the OCZ is 4-4-4-15. Should I spend the extra $5 for the Corsair and the lower timings, or will it not make a difference?

Also, the OCZ says it has a voltage range of 1.9-2.1V, whereas the Corsair is 2.1V. I imagine the OCZ would be better for OC'ing...?
