Which reputable companies have the best deals for laptops?

Hello

Do you know what reputable companies have the best deals on laptop computers and can ship to Australia?
I saw a site at http://that-laptop.com/questions/index.php?search=laptop+deals that could help answer the question. However, I cannot see the date that the questions were answered which is important because the technology changes rapidly.

I received an email that came from my friends email address that stated the below. However, he said that he did not send it. I did a search on the Internet and found someone else on a forum at http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100729105626AA57vil stating that someone sent the same email out from their email address and it appeared that there email account was compromised. That does not mean that the company on the below link is responsible for the emails. Does anyone know about www.dokzol2.com and if they are a good company to deal with and if their prices are among the best available? The email that I received is below.

"I find a good Chinese website which is www.dokzol2.com It sells electronic products. All of them are brand new and original and they all have cheap price and high quality. The company also deal with the tariff for us. One of my friends orders an Apple laptop. It only takes a week to get it. Let us enjoy the happiness of shopping. w--4"

Also, do you know of any specific laptops that would serve my below purpose well?

I want to play videos that I recorded on the hard drive through a TV tuner card. I use VLC media player to play the videos that are sometimes about 4GB per hour of recording. Sometimes I also play back the videos at double normal speed to save time. I also plan to connect a tuner card to the laptop to record TV programs.

I posted a question about this on the forum at http://www.computerforum.com/179910-laptop-pcs-best-value.html#post1505559 and someone referred me to http://lifehacker.com/5524704/laptop...dy-highlights- that suggested which brands are more reliable.

Some other people agree with the website and suggested Toshiba is a good brand. I found something that could be good below on the Ebay site in Australia. Do you know of any better deals?

TOSHIBA Satellite Core2 DUO, 2.2GHz,. 4G RAM, 320G hard drive, 15" screen for $650
Microsoft Windows Vista Business Preload, Also XP Professional Disc is included.
See http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170521504167

I thought that it may be better if my laptop had Windows XP because it may run better and may be easier to adjust to because I have XP on my other computers I am not sure if regularly switching between computers with Win XP and Win 7 could take time to adjust to. Could this be a problem?

Your help is appreciated
Regards Richard.

Hello

Yes, Asus computers are sold in Australia. Actually I was thinking of getting one as I heard that they are also a good brand and I notice that they top the ratings for being the most reliable according to http://lifehacker.com/5524704/laptop...dy-highlights- . I listed the details about it on my last question on this forum. It is also below. I notice that the listing has ended. However, you can still scroll down the page to see the details about the system.

ASUS CORE 2 DUO with 2.2GHz, 4Gb RAM, 320Gb BLU-RAY hard drive, 15.6" screen and ATi GAMING for $700.
Genuine Windows Vista™ Business, with XP Pro Downgrade.
Windows 7 Professional upgrade disc & license add $29
This is the only one listed with a 2 year warranty.

Item number: 170517664020

Do you think this system is good value for money?

I could buy overseas. It can be much cheaper to buy overseas than in Australia.

Please let me know of which reputable companies have the best deals and what you can find out about www.dokzol2.com .

Regards Richard.

The price of that website look cheap...
Too good to be true...
If you eventually order from that, let me know

Hello

Where you said “The price of that website look cheap”
Were you referring to www.dokzol2.com ?
I did a Google search on the site and in someone’s opinion dokzol.com is a scam. However, they said it was only an opinion and that is a slightly different domain name to dokzol2.com. There was not a lot of information about the site. If you find out anything about that site or any reputable sites that have good deals, please let me know.
