Which SATA port, Gigabyte D3?

My new motherboard just arrived, but none of the other stuff has yet

I just want to know something, so that I'm set to up to install it all when the rest arrives...

I've bought this HDD to go with it:

Which of the SATA ports would it go into? One of the orange ones or the purple one?

SATA0 (Yellow) is what I went for and XP picked it up straight away.

Either one should work. I used the orange ones, they are from the ICH8 and shouldn't need drivers. I think you would need drivers if you used the purple ones, and if you want to use a RAID you have to use the purple connectors.

In the BIOS, should I have the SATA Port0-3 Native Mode, enabled (legacy IDE) or disabled (native IDE)?

I think it should be enabled, but if it doesn't work switch it

Right, so if it doesn't detect my SATA drive just swap whatever it was, so if it was enabled, disable it and and if it was disabled, enable it. But it should be enabled, Ok, thanks for the help
